Hello everyone,
Newest information has been added to the bottom of this page.
The 2010 Run for the Roses AMZA sanctioned Miniature Zebu Show will be held again this year at the Roy Crowley FFA barn in Lancaster, TX.
We will also have an official AMZA Judges Training Seminar and clinic.
Entry deadline is Thurs. April 15th, 2010.
Unfortunately we have been forced to have late entry fees this year.
Too many exhibitors wait until the last minute to enter and pay and it creates a logistical nightmare for our Show Secretary and Ring Stewards.
The fees will be as follows:
Entry Fees per head per show $25.00
Late Fees per head per show $10.00
Substitution fees per head per show $5.00
If you have pre entered and pre paid for the show before the entry deadline you can add additional cattle to the show for $30.00 per head per show there will be no late fees.
We will have a full concession stand with home made food for breakfast and lunch. We will have quality, healthy food and appreciate your support of the concessions as the monies brought in help to fund the show.
We will be having a raffle, silent auction and some very nice items that will be auctioned off.
If you have any donations for the show they will be GREATLY appreciated!
We already have a beautiful show quality paint bull calf out of multi champion winning parents and a miniature zebu head gate donated by Zebutopia Ranch.
Please, please, if you plan to either participate for an AMZA judging license or just audit the JTS, enroll early and get your Judges Training manual early so you can study it and be prepared.
If you would like to attend and audit the JTS, and are willing to bring cattle and help facilitate the JTS, we would love to have you and would NOT charge anything for auditing but your help would be required.
The cost for attending the JTS training and testing is $150.00 per person.

Here are some
highlights and info for everyone.
1. We are going to have a raffle table to help fund the show, any and all
donations will be greatly appreciated!
2. We are going to have "last place, first place" tickets so every
exhibitor that gets last place in a class of two or more animals will get a
ticket for a drawing of some great prizes. If you have anything you would like
to donate to that we would appreciate it also!
3. We have a new "miniature" zebu cattle head gate already donated by
Zebutopia Ranch, it is very, very handy for small farms that need a head gate
for their cattle vetting. $490.00 value!
4. We have a beautiful, NO REALLY! beautiful gray paint bull calf out of PGCH
Woodhaven Farms Raja donated by Zebutopia Ranch! Value, Priceless I am sure!
5. We have nice trophies donated by Crooked Star Ranch, Bernie and Chris
Keasler.
6. Several people have asked about a "host hotel" for the show,
unfortunately we don't have one, but there are a number of nice hotels close.
You can google Lancaster or De Soto TX hotels/motels. I also suggest using
priceline and "name your own price" as I usually save a lot of money
and get a nicer hotel.
7. We will have a concession stand with very reasonable, home made food,
serving breakfast and lunch with snacks and drinks , it will be open till the
shows are finished each day.
8. On Saturday evening after the show we will all be going to Bienvendos
Restaurant for dinner. If you plan to go please let know so I can make
reservations for the right amount of people. It is a locally owned Tex Mex
restaurant that is very good and very reasonable. They have a kids menu and
free ice cream cones . Not to mention excellent Margaritas!
9. There are plenty of good restaurants close to the hotels and show grounds,
Outbacks, South of the Border, Chili's, and lots of fast food places as well.
10. If you need any specific things or help for the show, please let me know
and we will do our best to accommodate you.
11. We will have plenty of folks there to help if you need in showing any of
your cattle, but please don't take advantage of them. We all need help at
times, and we are blessed that everyone jumps in and helps each other. I only
ask that you don't take advantage of your fellow exhibitors kindness. Also
please jump in and help someone else if they need it.
12. This show is a laid back, easy going show, we want you to have a good time,
be relaxed and enjoy yourself. NO stress! We will not be rushed in and out of
the ring, but please be as diligent as possible in keeping both you and your
animals ready for the show.
13. If you plant to attend the Judges Training Seminar, either auditing or
participating, please let me know asap.
Thanks, David
