ends on Sunday, we will be releasing the exhibitors. In order to expedite our
exhibitors return home we will be releasing those who have traveled the
furthest first. Please be respectful and understanding.

Rules: All Miniature Zebu cattle entered
in the shows must have their original AMZA registration certificate or a
photocopy presented at check in. In
order to expedite check in, please send in a photocopy of the AMZA registration
papers on all animals entered to
show.
Health
Requirements:
All cattle entering the show grounds must be in good health and accompanied by
a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection issued within thirty (30) days of
September 24, 2009. The Texas State Fair, upon entry to the
fair grounds, will be checking health certificates. Any animal showing any
signs of illness or disease will not be allowed to remain in pens or on the
State Fair property. Check with
the Official State Fair of Texas health rules and regulations as they apply.

computing age for both the Friday & Sunday shows is September 1, 2009.

SUNDAY AMZA NATIONAL SHOW HOSTED BY THE STATE FAIR OF TEXAS:
Premiums: The State Fair of Texas and AMZA
will be offering $3,225.00 in premiums for the State Fair of Texas show on
Sunday.
New
For This Year:
The State Fair is no longer printing or sending out Premium Books. Information
on the Fair and entry forms for the Sunday State Fair Show can be obtained
through the State Fair web page under “Livestock” at www.bigtex.com.
There is an option for printable forms, which can be mailed to the fair or
online entries, which are submitted online (also payable by credit card
online). Whether by email or U.S. Mail, the deadline is September 1st.

Remember… You must send a check to the State Fair of Texas for the State Fair entries which are $30.00 per animal per class! Very important! The deadline is September 1st
Send your Friday Show (AMZA) entries to Jim Mannos they are $25.00 per animal
per class, Nadu-Zebu Club entry forms included.

ENTRIES FOR THE SUNDAY SHOW MUST BE SENT TO THE STATE
FAIR
Online or
postmarked by September 1, 2009. The State Fair of Texas only accepts late entries
postmarked through September 15, 2009 and at twice the normal State Fair entry fee. No entries at the gate can be
accepted. Substitutions will be accepted at check-in without penalties;
however, the substitutions must be of the same sex. (For example, one bull can
be substituted for another bull but a cow could not be substituted for a bull).
These are State Fair rules and no exceptions can be made.

Pens
& Bedding:
Tie outs and initial bedding are included with your State Fair entries at no extra
charge. The State
Fair also provides the clean up after the shows. You can bring dividers for tie
out pens to separate your animals, feed/tack etc. Feel free to advertise/sell
cattle at the fair; however, you may not bring animals for sale if they are not
entered in the show.
FRIDAY SHOW IS SPONSORED BY NADU-ZEBU:
Entries:
entry forms for
the Friday Show are enclosed. Entries for the Friday Show must be postmarked no
later than September 15th and mailed to Nadu-Zebu at 1414 Wilson Road, Lancaster, TX 75146.

You can save your filled out entry form on your computer, then email it to AMZA (Jim Mannos) amzareg@aol.com or jmannos@aol.com as an attachment, and go to the paypal using the link above to make the payment.
The
discounted entry fee for the Friday Nadu-Zebu Club Show will be $25 per head if
received by September 15th. ALL
entries received after September 15th will be $30.00 per head. Entries received without payment will
be considered late if payment is not received by the due date. We offer a
discount for on-time entries as it allows us time to construct a quality show
program for our exhibitors. Please note that more restrictive
rules apply to the State Fair of Texas entries and be reminded that no animal
can be shown in the Friday show that is not shown in the State Fair of Texas
Show on Sunday.
The Friday Show entry
fees are discounted as we will NOT be paying premiums for this show. We will be
giving prizes/trophies.

FRIDAY (ONLY)
SPECIALTY CLASSES: (Note:
specialty classes will pay $75.00 to the winner provided there are 3 or more
entries per class, if less than three entries, winner will receive $25.00.)
CLASSIC
BREED CHARACTER CLASS
This class is offered
to spotlight the importance of the unique “breed specific look” and unique
breed character of Miniature Zebu Cattle. The judge will be considering the
breed character ONLY of the animals entered in this class. Bring your most exotic animal in breed
character into this class and show the world why Miniature Zebu cattle are so
revered and what sets them apart from other cattle breeds!
COLOR
CLASS
Any Miniature Zebu of
ANY color or color combination can enter. This is a FUN class only, and is
meant to expose the variety of colors available in Miniature Zebu cattle. Any
age and any color may enter, there is no limit to the number of
cattle you may enter in this class! The Judge will determine the winner, and
may pick a panel of NON-CONTESTANTS to help determine the winner.
BEST
UDDER CLASS
This class is offered to
educate and inform breeders, exhibitors and the public of the importance of the
mammary system and how it relates to the form and function of productive and
reproductive miniature zebu cattle.
GET
OF SIRE
This class is two
offspring of either sex, any age, out of the same Sire. The judge will be looking for
continuity in breed character, correct structure and
SATURDAY, 3:00 pm COSTUME CLASS
There is NO charge for
this class. We have changed our costume class to include any costume for both
cattle and the exhibitors. Let your imagination go! Native costume is the
cattle decoration of the ancient Hindu cattle that were and are still highly
decorated and revered. It can be fresh or artificial flowers, exotic fabric and
materials, anything that enhances the exotic look and romances the unique breed
character and history of the Miniature Zebu Cattle. Some ideas are horn
decoration, head dress and neck veils, body decoration, fancy halters etc. The
costume class is free, and there will be a banner from the State Fair of Texas
for the over-all winner, we will have an Open costume class winner and a Native
costume class winner, with prizes for both, and then an over all winner between
the two categories will win a great prize.
