AMZA will be
sponsoring the first ÒPremier Spotlight SaleÓ this year at the
Louisiana State Fair, in Shreveport, LA. It will be held in conjunction
with two officially sanctioned AMZA shows. It will be held
in the sale arena building on the fair grounds. This is a covered building with
a great sale arena, very clean. This is a premium sale and we will have
Mr. Gary Whitehead officiating the sale. Mr. Whitehead is a professional
auctioneer and an AMZA licensed judge. We are much honored he agreed to do
this for us.
Cost:
$250.00 per head, to
include the following: One free seat at the VIP table including
dinner and beverages. Full color ad including picture of the animal to be sold,
in the mail out brochure that will canvass the entire Miniature Zebu market. Complimentary
18X24 sign with the animalÕs information, pedigree and show wins. Premium
location including pen at the fair for animal inspection and review. Full color
advertising and promotion on the AMZA website www.amzaonline.com. Free entry fees for
the Nadu-Zebu club show for every spotlight sale animal.
Cocktail
Preview Party: Everyone is invited
to attend the "preview
cocktail party" for prospective buyers to view the animals for sale, speak
with owners, go over pedigrees, show wins etc. followed by a
fabulous dinner, beer, wine, soft drinks and desert.
Dinner: Regular buffet seating
and dinner is $25.00 per person, prepaid and $30.00 per person at the door,
including beer, wine and soft drinks and desert.
Sale rules and specifications are as follows:
1. We are limiting the number of cattle for the sale to 15 head with no more
than 5 bulls of any age. Cattle sold may be of any age, but calves that
are bottle feeding must be sold with a weekÕs supply of milk and a bottle with
nipple.
2.
All animals must meet or exceed the AMZA official scorecard and breed standard. All
cattle submitted for the sale will be reviewed by a committee. If an animal submitted
for the sale is not accepted by the committee all monies will be refunded with
a letter of appreciation for their consideration.
3.
All animals must be halter broke and able to be lead into the show arena.
4.
All animals must be spotless, clean and well groomed and may be decorated or enhanced in any way you see fit. You may use glitter,
polish, etc. but nothing may be added like a fake switch etc. But make your
cattle beautiful so they shine on the runway!!!
5. All
animals will be highlighted on a special ÒSpotlight SaleÓ page on www.amzaonline.com and we will be creating
a full color brochure with pictures, pedigrees and information about every
animal entered. This brochure will be sent out to every AMZA member and every other
miniature cattle breeder/owner that belongs to any other organization as well.
We will be doing a complete mail out to every miniature cattle
owners/breeder possible. Any names of prospective buyers will be
appreciated as we will be happy to add them to the list!
6.
All animals entered in the sale must be registered with AMZA and have a current
general health certificate showing TB and Brucellosis free. Cattle from a TB
free state will only require Brucellosis testing.
7.
All animals entered in the sale must be entered in the shows as well, unless
they are un-weaned calves.

If your animal is accepted, the $250.00 fee is non-refundable.
There is NO PO charge if your animal doesnÕt bring what you feel it should.
