This winning cow is a beautiful blend of gray and rose.  Many calves are born reddish in color but fade to gray.
The old art piece shows that zebus came in many colors hundreds of years ago. The middle zebu looks like a brindle and white.

Some are born gray and stay that way.  Some that are born red, stay red or lighten to gray as they grow older.
We thought that Dominate black produces black calves, but we had black x black breeding and it produced a white calf.

The last three pictures show the same bull calf at different stages of growth.
It shows signs of the fading gene. The red is fading to grey.
