All of the examples above represent the up swing or, lyre horn style.

These examples illustrate downturned horns.
In the picture below, this cow finally had her horns cut to prevent eye and facial damage. This one also had 'soft' horns, which just hung from the base, banging back and forth, and were not firmly attached.


This cow just has 1 horn. |

This next set, left and right, appear not to be heading down or up. These seagull horns tend to grow outward. |

And of course, there are those that cannot decide which direction to grow.
